Meet Dr. Ronald N. Shore, MD

A distinguished Board-Certified Dermatologist, Dr. Ronald N. Shore has been a leader in medical and cosmetic dermatology for over 25 years. With a rigorous academic background, innovative treatment approach, and dedication to patient care, he is recognized for his expertise in complex skin conditions, advanced dermatologic procedures, and skin cancer prevention.

Dr. Shore earned his medical degree With Great Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan, receiving top student honors on four separate occasions and earning eleven academic merit-based scholarships. He continued his training with an internship and fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Pennsylvania. He has since been an integral part of the dermatology teaching program at Johns Hopkins, frequently lecturing at national and international medical conferences and leading specialized courses at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meetings.

He co-founded Delivering Cures 4 Cancer (DC4C), a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness of innovative cancer treatment technologies, in honor of his late wife, Paula Shore. With the longest-running skin cancer screening program achieving 100% survival, the practice is committed to early detection, prevention, and personalized treatment plans.

Meet Janine Shore

Janine Shore is the CEO of Shore Dermatology, a leading dermatology practice in Montgomery County known for its expertise in medical and cosmetic skin care. Janine is also the co-founder of Delivering Cures 4 Cancer (DC4C), a nonprofit organization focused on raising awareness around skin cancer prevention and promoting access to innovative treatment technologies.

With a background spanning healthcare, communications, and the entertainment industry, Janine brings a unique blend of strategic leadership and creative thinking to her work. After earning her degree from Boston University in 2002, she transitioned from a successful career as an entertainment industry executive to healthcare—driven by a personal commitment to patient advocacy and skin cancer prevention.

Janine co-founded DC4C in honor of her late mother, Paula Shore. Under her leadership, the organization has launched regional awareness campaigns and activations, on making annual skin checks a part of everyday family wellness.

As CEO of Shore Dermatology, Janine oversees the practice’s operations and cosmetic dermatology program, ensuring patients receive personalized treatment plans and state-of-the-art care. Her leadership has helped grow Shore Dermatology into one of the region’s most respected practices for comprehensive skin health.
